Raspberry, Kola, Honey
The Burundi Turihamwe is a wonderful coffee to drink on a daily basis with its pleasant, unique characteristics. It is very fun to roast; as it responds well to a lot of heat and air flow, making for quick batches at very Low Finish Roast Temperatures. The flavors begin upfront with raspberry, closely followed by kola and honey. The cup fills out, presenting a cozy, warming, balanced experience.

Turihamwe means “together” in Kirundi, and encapsulates the spirit behind this collective community. The women growing this coffee worked, studied, and saved their premiums together for several years to be able to build their own wet mill, which they did themselves. This allows them to control the quality and processing of their coffee far beyond the harvest. [JNP Coffee]
